Social Media Marketing tips for driving more recruitment clients

All recruiters know that social media can be a great avenue for sourcing new talent and advertising roles that you’re trying to fill, but this channel is sometimes overlooked as a way to drive new client leads too.

We’ve compiled some tried and tested tips to help you generate more clients via social media.

Celebrate your successes

Making sure that you post appropriately about successful placements can be a great trust signal for potential new clients. Visually appealing posts that outline the challenges of the placement and how you overcame them to end with a positive outcome can be very compelling.

Share your expertise and opinions

Sharing industry news is one thing, but adding value to this by expressing your expert opinion on recruitment trends, market insights and other relevant topics will help position you as a thought leader.

Host ‘Lives’ centred around a specific topic

A ‘live’ can look different on the various platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram all enable them), but essentially is a real-time session where you can answer questions from contributors, talk about a trending topic, give useful tips or otherwise show that you’re an expert in your field. Promote them in advance and schedule them for when you know that your target audience are likely to be available.

Promote free webinars and online workshops

You can also use social platforms to facilitate webinars and workshops around a theme or topic that your target audience will find useful. From recruitment best practice tips to talent acquisition strategies, there will always be topics that your audience will find useful to help make their job more effective and efficient.

Get involved in other people’s relevant conversations

Social media is partly a broadcast channel, but it’s really a two-way communication channel. Engaging with other people’s posts and content in a meaningful way not only increases your reach on social media naturally, it also helps with your thought leadership positioning and can be a big plus in general networking too.
